Decorations top
We want to present an environment on Sunday mornings that is warm and inviting for worship. Decorations help in accomplishing that.
In addition to seasonal themes, we occasionally integrate visual metaphors in our decorations.

- Candles - The light of the Gospel.
- Bread and Juice – Symbolizing the body and blood of Christ.
- Basin and Towel - Servant hood.
If you would like to participate in this ministry, please contact Mike Dirks at the church offices.
Expectations:- Create decorative platform designing.
- Sunday setup anytime between 8 and 9 am.
- Teardown at the end of the service .
- Regular attendance at Cross of Christ.
- Participation in a Small Group is encouraged.
Drama top
Drama is used as a teaching tool to help illustrate, in an engaging and entertaining way, Christian lessons and issues we face in our daily relationship with God.
Don't think that you can't do this. If you ever wanted to learn how to act, dance or sing - we can teach you and you can learn!
Thematic, and occasional seasonal presentations provide areas of opportunity for involvement.

Ushers and Greeters top
"A visitor is the most important person that attends church on Sunday. His attendance has been motivated by a friend or a deep need. He brings his hurts, questions and apprehensions. He looks for warmth, acceptance and smiles. When he receives these things, he will return. When he returns, he will find God."
John Maxwell
The Ushers and Greeters perform a very valuable role at Cross of Christ by offering a warm and friendly greeting to every person who attends our services. Many people have commented on how important it was to them to feel welcome when they first came to our church. Our number one priority is a positive first impression.
Greeters are at the front doors from about 15 minutes before, until 5 minutes after the start of the service. The ushers greet people coming into the auditorium to be seated, hand out bulletins and take the offering.
A schedule for three months is created and passed out four times per year. Numerous people ask to serve as both ushers and greeters We make it possible for them to serve in both capacities on a given Sunday so they are scheduled less frequently. Schedule changes and substitutions are made whenever the need arises. The length of commitment is typically one year but people serve only as long as it works well for them. We would be delighted to have you join us in either or both of these ministries.
