Children and Family Ministry

At Cross of Christ Church we are committed to bring the love of Jesus Christ to all ages! "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." Matthew 18:14

Mission – Vision – Values

Mission

Our mission as a Children’s Ministry is to help our community reach kids for Jesus, assist families to teach kids about Jesus, and empower kids to live for Jesus.

Vision

Our vision is to lovingly present God’s unfailing truth to young people. We will provide a safe, loving, and Christ centered, ministry that helps young people truly grasp who Jesus is and what He has done for them personally, while enabling them to recognize what that means for their daily life.

Values

  1. We are and always will be focused on a ministry for Children.
  2. Lessons from the bible will be presented in ways that enable us to apply them directly to our lives.
  3. Children will always be kept physically, emotionally, and spiritually safe.
  4. Kids will have fun!
  5. Loving relationships will be built between children and volunteers.
  6. Children will learn to serve.

We value your child's safety!

  • Please fill out a registration card on all of your children and their guests. This card contains vital information regarding the safety of your child (such as allergy information) while they are in our care. The card is available from any Shepherd in the Family Ministry area.

  • Children must be in class or in the sanctuary with their parents during Sunday service times. Ushers will assist in checking the building and taking attendance during the service. This will assure that everyone is safe and accounted for.

  • Youth (6th-12th grades) will remain with their parents, they must remain in the sanctuary during the worship service. Youth will be allowed to serve as instructional help or in the nursery as well as on the worship team, greeting or ushering. We expect youth and adults alike to be adequately trained to help and teach. Many of the youth have provided invaluable service working with the younger children.
